True Motivation: Identity in Jesus
Don’t be motivated to be seen and known by PEOPLE because of something you DO.
If you choose to, you are destined to become disappointed, discouraged or depressed because your performance may change, and people always will.
Rather be motivated by being seen and know by JESUS because of who you ARE in him. When you do this, you’ll never be dissatisfied because He never changes and your identity doesn’t either.
How do we do this? Practically, spending time with Him, and being seen and known by Jesus changes your heart to make it not about your performance anymore, but rather gives you empowerment to work hard for the kingdom resulting in fruiful labor and an overflowing heart of love and satisfaction
